$5 claims any country
Every country opens at the same price, whatever it is worth. Tuvalu and the United States both start at $5 — competition is what makes a country expensive, not a price we set.

$1 passes anyone
One dollar more than someone’s total takes their place, at any rank, in any country. There is no premium on first place.

The top three split the GDP
A country’s real GDP is divided 50% / 30% / 20% between its top 3 bidders. Your score is the sum of every award you hold across the map, and the biggest economy is displayed first.

Fourth place scores nothing
Below the cut line you keep your money in the country and stay publicly listed, but you earn no GDP until you climb into the top 3. Every country page shows exactly what that costs before you pay.

You only pay the difference
Your position in a country is everything you have ever put into it. Going from $30 to $45 costs $15, not $45.
- 06
One position per project per country
A project cannot hold two places on the same podium, so nobody can buy first, second and third and pocket a country’s entire GDP. The database enforces it, not the checkout form.

Ties go to whoever got there first
Equal money in the same country means the earlier bid keeps the higher place. Matching someone is not passing them.

Anyone can bid for any project
There are no accounts. Paying toward a project only ever raises it, so there is nothing to steal — and a listing’s name and tagline come from the site’s own metadata, never from the form, so a stranger cannot rewrite someone’s copy for a dollar.

Payment is what takes the position
A claim lands when Stripe confirms the payment, not when the form is submitted. If someone passes you while you are in checkout you get the place your money actually bought, and we tell you which one that is.

Removals and refunds
Anything illegal, malicious or deceptive is removed and refunded. A removed project drops out of every country at once and whoever was behind it moves up.
